Several Amtrak railcars derailed Wednesday after colliding with a vehicle near Los Angeles.Â
Three train cars went off the tracks in Moorpark, 50 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles, around 11:20 a.m. following a collision, said Ventura County Fire Department Captain Brian McGrath, Fox Los Angeles reported.Â
Images taken by the news outlet show passengers getting off the train and others looking at the wreckage from a distance. The derailed train was shown upright on part of the track.Â
A piece of farming equipment, possibly a water tank, appeared to be destroyed on the side of the tracks. There were no reports of injuries, McGrath said.Â
Fox News Digital has reached out to Amtrak and the Ventura County Sheriff's Office, but have not yet heard back.
Authorities appeared to be searching the train cars and inspecting them for damage. It was still unclear as to where the train departed from.Â
